Goodwill Industries in Zanesville is asking for your help. The Maple Avenue store is in desperate need of donations.

"Right now our donations are extremely low, especially our house ware items and clothing, so we are asking the community if they can, you know, give us some donations and help us out,  " Manager Connie Kimble said.

Goodwill’s mission is to provide work opportunities, skills development and employment services to people with barriers to employment and without ample donations, they will not be able to meet their mission. Kimble blames the decrease in donations on the weak economy.

"They are noticing the lack and then also with our weakened economy we are seeing more people coming to shop, we have more customers which is nice but also on the other hand our donations are very very low and so we we would like to get those picked back up. "

If you wish to donate, you can do so at the Maple Goodwill at the Drive Thru Center. Remember to keep in mind you will get a tax write off when you donate.
