Reds Caravan Rolls into Town

The Cincinnati Reds Caravan rolled into Zanesville for a special visit, Friday.

Second baseman Brandon Phillips was among those in attendance. Last season the team won the National League Central and made a run in the playoffs. This year those that work with the organization hope they build on that success.

"I’ve been with the club for 16 seasons," said Assistant Director of Media Relations Jamie Ramsey. "I can’t remember a club on paper being any better than the one we have going into 2013. I’m hoping to go back to the playoffs and maybe go a little farther and win a World Series."

When watching the Reds play in the Queen city there’s plenty to see and do. Starting in March they’ll be a special package so that fans can experience all Cincinnati has to offer.

"We have an exclusive package on Cincinatius.com which includes what’s called the Reds Grand Slam Weekend package," said Natalie Anderson. "It includes not only your hotel, but it includes your choice of any Reds game and will run from Memorial Day to Labor Day. It also gives you $10 concession credit inside the stadium and then tickets to other local attractions in the area.

Anderson said if you are in the city she recommends checking out the local museums and the Cincinnati Zoo, which is the second oldest zoo in the country.
