New signs could soon help those looking to find their way through a downtown Zanesville building.
The Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center shares their space with the Zanesville Muskingum County Health Department and Child Support Services on 7th Street. New superintendent David Branch said the service center timed how long it took for new visitors to locate what they needed. The average time was 6 minutes. They’d like to get it down to half.
"Work with the other departments to determine some new signage in the lobby areas and on the second and third floors as well as using technology and working with a kiosk of some sorts that would the visitors to the building would be able to look at and see where events were being held," said Superintendent MVESC David Branch.
As the new superintendent Branch said he’d like to be the first place that schools think of when it comes to education needs.
"We’re going to have to make sure that we offer quality services and that we become a think tank in providing services to school districts," said Branch. "We’re going to have to scale up what we do as well as making our school districts in all 5 counties quality services."
The MVESC provides services that school districts can’t provide themselves such as psychiatrists and speech therapists.
