The body of a 21-year-old Caldwell woman has been found almost a mile away from a crash scene.
The Noble County Sheriff’s Office received a call on Saturday about a one vehicle crash on T-Ridge Road in Olive Township. A deputy searched for a driver, but couldn’t find her.
The woman’s mother told the sheriff’s office that her daughter had not checked in with her, and that prompted an investigation. Family and friends organized a search party for Sarah Langley.
They found the 21-year-old’s body about three-quarters of a mile from the accident site. The sheriff’s office said it appears that Langley attempted to walk to a friend’s house and died of exposure to the cold.
The sheriff’s office said that nothing at this point would indicate foul play.
