The Ohio Highway Patrol is investigating the death of a Zanesville woman following an early morning car crash near Dresden.
At around six a.m. Saturday morning troopers from the Zanesville Post responded to the intersection of Honeysuckle Lane and Golden Rod Road to find that 37 year-old Macinda Rutter of Zanesville had driven through a stop sign on Honeysuckle Lane, crossed Golden Rod Road and went over an embankment.
Two juvenile passengers in the vehicle reported that rutter was having medical related complications prior to reaching the intersection.
Rutter was pronounced dead at the scene by Muskingum County coroner Dr. Charles Feicht. The two passengers were transported by Dresden EMS to Genesis South Hospital in Zanesville with minor injuries.
The accident remains under investigation by the Zanesville Post.
