The Perry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robbery that took place late Wednesday night.
Around 11 p.m. the sheriff’s office received a 911 call from John’s Place at 113 East Main Street in Corning in reference to an armed robbery.
When deputies arrived the clerk advised them that one white male entered the store and fired a shot into the ceiling and ordered the clerk to the ground.
The suspect grabbed the cash register with an undisclosed amount of cash and ran out the door.
The suspect is a white male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black mask and glasses.
Assisting at the scene were the Corning and Crooksville Police Departments.
