The Zanesville Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol is investigatin a two-vehicle crash that occured early Sunday morning on Interstate 70.
According to the patrol, at around 10:30 near exit 160 on 70, a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox traveling in the left lane attempted to pass a 1996 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck hauling a camper in the right lane.
The patrol says the pickup truck lost control on an icy bridge and struck the Equinox. The collision caused both vehicles to go off the right side of the road. The pickup spun around and rolled over onto it’s drivers side.
The driver of the pickup was Kelly G. Tromblee, 46 of Roberts, Missouri. He was transported from the scene to Genesis Good Samaritan with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Equinox was Mary E. Lesko, 53 of Independence, she was not injured. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
The incident is still under investigation and the patrol says neither party has been charged with a violation at this time.
