Ohio’s Attorney General wants to make steps to help sexual assault victims.

At a press conference scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Mike DeWine is expected to announce a new initiative that comes after a survey conducted by the Attorney General’s Office found that 52 of Ohio’s 88 counties do not offer comprehensive, direct services for sexual assault victims.

The survey was conducted in May of last year.

The conference will also address proposed legislation to create a rape crisis program trust fund.

The announcement comes just days after a Steubenville judge convicted two high school football players of raping a 16-year-old girl in Steubenville last summer.
