Representatives of Rambo Memorial Health told Muskingum County Commissioners they are at a crossroads.
While they are best known for providing flu shots, they also offer 30 other services. 13 of those services were added in the last five years. The services usually either are no cost or cost a small fee.
"I think we’re getting more and more into wellness situation," said Executive Director Crystal Bebout. "We are looking at preventive type services."
One of the services being offered helps qualified residents get help with medications.
"There’s a lot of paperwork involved," said Bebout. "They have to have proof of income and they don’t know what to provide pharmaceutical companies, so we have a specific person that helps them through the process."
This year Rambo provided 8,000 flu shots to the community and will offer the shots until June.
