The Forever Dads Tribute to Fatherhood honored five fathers who are devoted to their families and communities. The second annual celebration took place at the North Terrace Church of Christ earlier tonight. The purpose of the organization is to encourage, educate and equip men to develop positive relationships with their children and family.

"It’s an opportunity for us to raise awareness of the importance of father’s in the lives of their children. And to honor those men who have been devoted father’s and community leaders," said Burl Lemon of Forever Dad’s.

The sold out event had over 400 people including community leaders, friends and family to celebrate the Legacy of the Fatherhood honorees which included Paul Law, Dr. Keith Brantley, Bill Phillips, Tom Nash, and Rev. Bill Meaige.

"It’s not a matter of what they do as much as who they are, how they live, and the fact that they’re devoted father’s to their families and community leaders. And choosing to really strengthen who we are in our community, it makes all the difference in the world. "

Proceeds from tonight’s event go towards the Forever Dads Endowment Fund and help fund the general operation of the organization.
