The Southeast Ohio Regional job fair is free and open to anyone who is searching for a job. It will be held at the Pritchard Laughlin Civic Center this Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The job fair is an eleven county partnership with area chambers of commerce and U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown’s office.

"All of the employers will be hiring which is an excellent thing this year. No employers were invited to the job fair if they weren’t doing active hiring so were excited about that," said Justy Cordray of The Muskingum County Opportunity Center.

There will be a variety of employers at the job fair including oil and gas companies, healthcare, retail and construction. Cordray says it’s important to look like you’re actively searching for a job and encourages people to look presentable or dress business casual at the job fair.

"Just come out and network with people, bring your resume, always remember to have that nice firm handshake, and a nice smile, and engage the employer as well. Just be ready to be employed because it sounds like were going to bring a lot of people some good jobs back in Zanesville."

If you don’t have a resume, there will be a technology lab on site at the job fair with people there to help you build or update a resume. You can find more information at
