Kitty Condos

When cats are taken to the Animal Shelter in Muskingum County, they are sensitive to their new surroundings and become stressed out, tending to get sick.

Therefore the shelter has decided to renovate it’s cat rooms to brighten the area, and hopefully moral, as well as create larger spaces for the cats.

Executive Director, Jody Murray said, "So we are looking at actually doubling the size of the space of their cages. So they will have some more room to move around, get some exercise, hopefully make them happier to be here at the shelter and just ultimately hopefully they will be healthier for us. "

The budget is very small for this project and the shelter plans to save money by using local artists to paint murals. But Murray said they still need the community’s help.

"But we are going to be spending about $1500 dollars to do this project, and for all the cat lovers out there, we are asking the community look at supporting and making a donation for us."

If wish to help the "Kitty Condo" project ,you can make checks out to the shelter or just give them a call at (740) 452-1077 and tell them you would like to make a donation.
