A Zanesville man returns home to serve the community.
Joe Dunlap has been away from Zanesville for 22 years. He’s served as a pastor in Atlanta, Georgia and a funeral brought him back home where he connected with old friends.
"I had one sit down and ask me if I would come home and start a church," explained Pastor of House of Grace Joe Dunlap. "I was pastoring in Atlanta. I’d been in Atlanta, Georgia area for five years and I said well I’ll go home and pray about it and I felt led to come home and we did."
March 10, House of Grace on the Maysville Pike held their first service. It’s a non denominational church where Dunlap said all are welcome. On Saturday March 30 they’ll hold a Easter egg hunt with 10,000 eggs.
"I’m so excited. I’m so excited to see all the children, to see the people that I haven’t seen in years, plus meet new people and that’s what is so awesome," said Dunlap.
The Easter Egg Hunt is for children ages 2 to 12 and will take place at 12:30 on the 30th. Other activities begin at 11am and end at 2p.m. House of Grace is located at 2960 Maysville Pike.
