A local bank cuts the ribbon on its fourth location.
North Valley Bank cut the ribbon on their Maple Avenue location. The bank next to the Tractor Supply Company joins South Zanesville, Malta and Corning in serving the banking needs of customers in our area.
"For a number of years people would have a CD with us or borrow money but they couldn’t do their checking because it’s too incovenient to go from the northend to the southend, so this is really great and we look forward to big things from this area," said President and CEO of North Valley Bank Fred O’Dell.
O’Dell said what sets them apart is their commitment to their customers. He said the money invested with them stays in the community.
"It’s just a family. We’re just a family with small town values," said O’Dell. "We all know each other. We know our customers. We don’t know account numbers. We actually still file by name not be account number."
North Valley Bank is holding some specials for its grand opening. They currently have a two for one on CDs with a two percent rate which is way over market value at this time.
