The Muskingum Valley Red Cross is hoping to move into their new building in Norwich, which was anonymously donated, by September. But they need help from the community. They are creating a "Wall of Heroes" at their new East Pike location where they will be selling white tiles for 250-dollars and red tiles for a thousand dollars to held fund their renovations.

"The red tiles will make up the red cross in the middle of the white wall and with the purchase, you can have a loved ones name engraved or business, whatever you want on it," said Muskingum Valley Red Cross Executive Director, Marlene Henderson.

The new location of the Red Cross is double the size of their current building which will allow them to have more room for training, volunteers, CPR classes, blood drives and board meetings. It is also conveniently located by the interstate and in between Muskingum and Guernsey county which are two of their busiest counties.

"We started out at a 500 thousand dollar campaign in 2010 and that would have been securing a building and everything. Very fortunately we had the building donated so that part was finished very quickly and we’re about two thirds of the way through right now."

The Red Cross hopes to have their capitol campaign wrapped up by the end of May. If you’re interested in purchasing a tile for the Wall of Heroes, you can call them at 740-452-2731
