Authorities release the name of a suspect killed by a Coshocton County Sheriff’s Deputy.
The suspect has been identified as 20-year-old David Stahl. He died at a Grant Medical Center on Wednesday.
The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office said that deputies tried to stop Stahl’s truck after he crossed into the county from Muskingum County. Officials there were tried to stop him for traiffic violations.
One Coshocton County Deputy crashed his cruiser during the chase on US 36 near Township Road 509 and was treated for his injuries at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital and was released. Another deputy ended up firing shots at Stahl.
Coshocton County Sheriff Timothy Rogers said the incident is now under investigation by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation. The deputy that shot Stahl is on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
