A Zanesville man charged in connection with the shooting of his wife has pleaded guilty.
42-year-old Dwayne Miller appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Monday where he pleaded guilty to charges of felonious assault and kidnapping. The other charges against Miller which included attempted murder and rape will be dropped at the time of sentencing.
Zanesville Police say on January 31st, Miller shot his wife Margaret at their home on Lafayette Street following an argument.
Police say Miller, who was still armed, fled the scene and got into a standoff with officers before being taken into custody.
Judge Kelly Cottrill ordered a pre-sentence investigation.
