To commemorate National Health Care Week, The Zanesville Muskingum County Health Department hosted a Community Health Fair at Colony Square Mall today.
The healthy conscious and mall goers were able to stop by several booths to manage their health care, get free health screenings and preventative information.
Jennifer Hiestand, Public Information Officer at ZMCHD said, "Well we are offering free health screenings, free hearing screenings, there is free body fat analysis, there is free body mass index reports you can print out and take home and just free prizes and give aways and just a lot of information here, we are getting a lot of questions."
One booth was for Care Source, which is a medicaid manage care plan, and a representative was there to answer questions for possible qualifiers.
"We have the health wheel and they answer a few questions about their healthcare, I have a few extra give a way’s for them and then I am also informing our members the benefits they have with our plan is my primary focus," said Joan Alexander, Care Source Community Education Representative
If you missed the health fair today it will still be at Colony Square Mall tomorrow. The free health screenings are from ten to noon and again from two to four
