Easter Celebration At Secrest Auditorium

All of the seats at Secrest Auditorium were packed with over a thousand people joining in the celebration on Sunday. Head Pastor of The Anchor Church, Aaron Bounds, says he believes celebrating Easter is not only important, but imperative.

"Easter is exciting because obviously it’s in the spring every year. And the reason it’s in the spring is because Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Christ. He died on Friday and three days later he resurrected and so Easter is the celebration of new life," said Pastor Aaron Bounds.

There were fun activities planned for the children including games and singing. Children ages 6-12 were able to enter into the Easter Basket Giveaway which included a bike and lots of games and candy.

"I thought it was a great turnout, a lot of people praying and weeping and crying, giving their life to God, which is why we do this."
