Jon Moorehead, now a realtor and non-profit consultant in Columbus, came back to his hometown to speak to residents and thank them for the impact they made on his career.

"I spoke about the influences on my life and my career having been born, raised and nurtured here in Zanesville, Ohio. And particularly with the mentors and models within the African-American Community," said Moorehead.

Moorehead also mentioned a number of African-American entrepreneurs that he felt were models and congratulated the Nelson T. Gant Foundation.

"I’ve been able to enjoy some nice successes in the area of community and economic development in Columbus and actually throughout the state of Ohio and I’m here to say thank you to the people that helped nurture me."

This is just one of the many events the Nelson T. Gant Foundation hosts for the community.
