Lil Bear Needs Your Support

An up and coming business is looking for your support at their "Knit into Spring" fundraiser.

"Lil Bear is a knit wear fair trade, 100% fair trade knitwear company. I purchase fair trade yarns from third worlds to impure women out of poverty. And I am a designer. I design with it. Then I take the kits into lower income areas where maybe women need to have a little extra support financially," said Laura Berry, owner of Lil Bear.

You can submit a spring themed knit or crochet item that you have made to Lil Bear. All of the knitted or crochet items will be judged and the winner will receive a basket full of yarn and other knitting items worth more than 300 dollars.

"The first 50 people to come get a free Lil Bear T-shirt. We will also have some giveaways. We’ll have the knitters guild here to sign up people with a free magazine if they sign up so there will be a lot of different ways to raise the funds for Christ’s Table."

The fundraiser is from 10-2 p.m. on Saturday. For more information you can go to
