A local school needs help raising money for their prom and yearbook expenses and here’s how you can help.

Foxfire High School only has one dance per year and wants to make it affordable and special for their students. The fundraisers allow the school to provide services for the students.

"During the day of prom we offer hair styling, people can get their hair done for free, their nails, their make up done. We have dress donations for girls who aren’t able to get their own dresses. We are currently taking donations still so they can have a dress to wear to prom.So we make it a big deal. It’s really exciting to see them get excited about it," 9th grade English and Social Studies Teacher, Cassie Mcpherren said.

The prom committee makes all of the props by hand and needs funds to help pay for paint, decorations and food for the important date. The fundraisers make prom possible for everyone

" It’s really helpful because not everybody here can afford it so the people that can can go and the people that can’t get help through the fundraisers," 2nd year student, Dakota Shaw said.

Their fundraiser takes place at Buffalo Wild Wings from eleven a.m.. until eleven at p.m… Fifteen percent of the money spent at Buffalo Wild Wings goes towards the prom. They also have an ongoing fundraiser every Friday at Ruby Tuesdays.
