The Ohio Department of Transportation held an open house meeting for District 5 in Zanesville today. The idea was to talk about their current list of projects
The event was held at the John McIntire Library and was open to the public.
Planning and Engineering for O-DOT District 5, Dave Slatzer said, "We have several projects on Interstate 70. Basically between Buckeye Lake and State Route 256. We actually have an interchange project, which is in the second year of construction, its state route 158. There is a bridge replacement there. We are doing a modification to the interchange. "
District Five includes Muskingum, Guernsey, Perry, Knox, Licking, Coshocton and Fairfield. Locally a safety project tops the list.
"It’s actually this fiscal year, Muskingum 60. It’s a safety project on Maple Avenue where we will be doing some work lining Dresden Road as well as realigning Balls Lane there by Walmart. "
