The May primary is one week from Tuesday. In Muskingum County it’s being called a special election featuring just three issues.

On May 7th, the election will take place. Board of Election Director, Chris Hamill say only certain people will vote next Tuesday.

"The only voters eligible to vote in this election are the voters who reside in the East Muskingum local school district, the West Muskingum local school district, and the Village of Dresden," Hamill said.

The three issues on the ballot will be an additional levy for West Muskingum local schools to provide emergency requirements,a renewal levy for East Muskingum school district that also provides emergency requirements and a renewal levy for the Village of Dresden to pay for current expenses. Hamill says people can still vote early.

" You can still vote by absentee in our office if you want to come in early you may do that clear up until this Friday at 6 p.m., " Hamill said.

Hamill says that voters need to bring a current ID with them that has their proper name and current address. Most counties in our area will feature at least a couple issues on their ballot.
