The United Way of Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan Counties celebrated it’s hard work this past year at an event Wednesday evening.
The event celebrated the end of their largest fundraising campaign. The campaign is done by the United Way to get businesses to invest in order to fund the programs they support.
Meg Deedrick, Director of United Way for Muskingum, Perry and Morgan Counties said, "So we invite our funded agencies, our partners, we invite board members, volunteers, and of course donors who invest in us to celebrate and to share the news of how much was raised, what are intentions are with that. "
Tonight the United way presented four awards: President’s Award to Barbara Gibbs, Chairperson’s Award to Matt Joseph, Director’s Award to Lisa King and Arlene and Clay Littick Award to David Weinberg.
"We want to acknowledge board members, volunteers, those that make a significant community impact and one who exemplifies the spirit of united way, we take this opportunity to do so. "
This year through the campaign, they raised $900,311.
