Zanesville Police have made an arrest in Monday night’s Maysville school bus shooting incident.

Captain Tony Coury says some key information developed from 25 year veteran officer Russ Scott led police to 1305 Ridge Avenue. Officers say they were able to gather evidence linking 24 year old Robert Goodin of Zanesville to the b-b gun shooting incident.

"That information that he received and passed on to us, pretty much just blew our case wide open this morning for us,” Coury said. “And with a little bit more investigation, the officers went to the house, saw evidence, took an evidence tech with them, and they collected multiple items."

Goodin will appear in Zanesville Municipal Court tomorrow morning after being cited with discharging a firearm inside city limits, criminal damage, and obstructing official business.

"After talking to him the individual, I think he seemed remorseful and he knew he made a mistake. He was willing to confess to us. Subsequently, he knows he is going to have to go in front of the court and tell his reasons why and receive his punishment."

Coury says if found guilty Goodin faces jail time, fines or probation.
