Colony Square Mall Rewards Local Schools

Nine area schools have been competing since September in Colony Square Mall’s A+ Rewards Program. Students and families turned in their mall receipts for points, and at the end of the school year in April, the points were tallied and the cash prizes divided up between schools.

"It was kind of our way to give back to the community and to help promote our retailers and special events out to the families. We do some special events where they can get double points. For example, there’s one weekend a month where you shop, it’s worth double points," said Kevin Pinson, Marketing Coordinator for Colony Square Mall.

This is the fifth year for the A+ Rewards Program and and over the past five years, Colony Square Mall has given away $100,000 to local schools.

"We are accepting registrations for next year. The program runs September through April of each school year so if there’s any schools that didn’t get the mailing and are interested, they can give us a call here at 740-454-3255."

Pinson says the money is to be used at the school’s discretion and can go towards whatever programs they feel need it.
