Home Invasion Suspect Enters Plea

A Columbus man enters a guilty plea to charges in connection with a home invasion in Muskingum County.

46-year-old Cory Erskine, Sr. appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court  Wednesday where he pleaded guilty to one felony count of aggravated burglary.

Three other charges including kidnapping and aggravated robbery,both with gun specifications, will be dropped at the time of sentencing.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Erskine,Sr. along with Cory Erskine,Jr. and Chaise King in October of 2011 after they broke into a home on Old River Road, tied up a woman inside and committed a theft.

Erskine,Jr. and King have already been sentenced in the case.
