Memorial Day Community Prayer

A new church is reaching out to the community on Memorial Day.

The House of Grace Church on Maysville Pike Road started ministry just 90 days ago and already has big plans. Pastor of the church, Joe Dunlap says he hopes everyone comes out to their memorial day community prayer.

"It’s open to everyone, we’ve got six other pastors going to be coming to the area to join with us and we’ll be praying about the seven mountains of influence of our city from finances to religion, entertainment, " said Dunlap.

The prayer takes place from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. Monday morning. Dunlap says May is the month of prayer and that prayer is especially important at this time of year.

" Plus with school being dismissed, the graduates coming out were praying for them that God will direct them and lead them as they go on to college and their careers, " said Dunlap.

Dunlap hopes the prayer brings unity to the community. He says if you miss the prayer it will be streaming live online. For more information you can visit the church’s website.
