The May Primary is Tuesday and some registered voters will be heading to the polls. In Muskingum County it’s being called a special election featuring just three issues.

Director of the Board of Election, Chris Hamill says that only certain areas are voting in this election.

"If you are in the West Muskingum, East Muskingum local school districts or the Village of Dresden you will be the only voters eligible to vote tomorrow, " said Hamill.

The three issues on the ballot include 2 levies that provide emergency requirements for East and West Muskingum local school districts. The third is a renewal levy for the Village of Dresden to pay for current expenses. Hamill says that the polls open at the normal time.

"To be able to vote tomorrow in the special election the polls will open at 6:30 a.m.. and close at 7:30 p.m., " Hamill said.

Hamill wants to stress that when you go to the polls make sure to have a current ID with your proper name and address. If you are not sure what district you fall under you can call the board of election office. We’ll have all the election results from our area on the Whiz News at 11 and our website…Whiznews.Com.
