If your basement, attic, or garage is filled with old toys, jewelry, coins, or other collectables you don’t know what to do with? You just may be able to get some cash for these useless items.

The Great American Treasure Hunt is a free touring show that will buy your old items with a focus on precious metals and this week the show is in Zanesville!

"Lancaster we buy antiques, collectables, coins, precious metals,” said Laura Enright of Heritage Trading Post. “We buy and sell or trade. We sell costume jewelry, guitars, war memorabilia, bayonets, swords, daggers, German stuff. Here at the events we only buy only we don’t sell anything."

The show was started by Enright’s two sons who own two Heritage Trading Post stores which are located in Lancaster and Illinois. They will look at any type of collectable, but there is some criteria in order for them to find value in the item.

"Condition is everything when it comes to value and rarity. So that’s what makes something more valuable, how many of them did they make"

The show is here all week at the Zanesvlle-Muskingum County Welcome Center Wednesday through Friday from 9 am to 6 pm and Saturday 9 am to 4 pm.
