Two Law Enforcement Vehicles Struck

by George Hiotis on May 13, 2013

The Zanesville Post of the Highway Patrol says it took part in the chase of a stolen vehicle Monday morning that started in New Concord. Lt. Matt Boyd says a man driving a stolen vehicle from Licking County slammed into a parked cruiser in New Concord then fled onto the interstate. Lt Boyd says a trooper already on I-70 tried to intercept the suspect vehicle in the westbound lanes and was also struck.  It happened near the Norwich exit. Both law enforcement vehicles had to be towed. One person is in custody. More details expected to be released later today.
