33 club members set their lines at the third fishing tournament of the year at Dillon Lake and by 3:00 p.m. they caught a total of 59 bass which were released back into the lake.
"Today was eight hours from 7-3:00p.m. We always start like the first week or the second week in April and we end in late October," said Kenny Simpson, V.P. of the Y-City Bass Club.
The top five winners won a trophy and cash. The club has ten tournaments throughout the year where you fish for money and points. Simpson says the Y-City Bass Club is growing and says they always welcome new members.
"We like to help out all new members, guys who struggle. We don’t have any secrets. It’s all about fun. We’re not doing it for any large championships or anything, we’re doing it just for fun."
You can join the club by just showing up at the next tournament which is May 19 at Charles Mill. For more information you can go to www.ohiobassclubs.com
