YMCA Summer Camps

This week is open registration to sign your child up for the various summer camps at the Muskingum Family YMCA.

Camps begin next Tuesday and they are structured so that families can sign their children up for a day, two days, or weeks, in order to fit their schedule’s needs.

"We have our traditional summer camp, which is kindergarten through 5th grade, entering kindergarten through fifth and then our adventure campers are students entering 6th through 8th grade and they get to do some different things in camp,” said Executive Director, Craig Miracle. “We introduce them to volunteerism, so they go to Adams Lane Care Center to the Animal Shelter to volunteer."

There is also a science camp this summer, which is a two week program, that is free to Zanesville City School students, entering grade 6th through 8th, but you need to pre-register for that camp.

"Right, we are doing orientation. Registrations this week, 4 to 6 pm each day this week Monday through Friday here at the park in the little barn. What you would do is, just bring in your paper work, we review it, give you a tour of camp, and get your first weeks payment."

Each camp varies in prices as well as how long your child attends the camp and if you are a member. For a full list of the prices, dates, and other information visit the YMCA’s website at www.mcmfy.org
