The third annual Zane Grey Day was held at the National Road and Zane Grey Museum in Norwich to kick off their tourist season.

" We opened this past Wednesday. It’s partly to remind everyone that we’re open for the summer through the end of October. Obviously this is the national road and Zane Grey Museum and having a Zane Grey Day is a nice way to celebrate Zane Grey’s life," said Keith Eberly, Executive Director of the John and Annie Glenn Foundation.

Kids learned how to lasso, fish and and made their own necklaces and bracelets.

"It is a good community event, something we are glad to do every year. We also receive a lot of community support, we have a core of volunteers that help us out all summer but in addition to those people, every activity here is sponsored by some organization or business in the community and without their help we wouldn’t be able to do something like this at all."

Eberly says he looks forward to having the event next year.
