Charlie, Lucy, Snoopy and the rest of the beloved Peanut Gang were all in a local theater’s rendition of the popular comic.

This weekend the Zanesville Community Theater performed the American classic …"You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown". Directors of the play say choosing this play was a no brainer.

"I got to stage manage it several years ago at another theater and I just wanted an opportunity to make it come to life myself. Its just been fun. We’ve got such a great group of kids doing this. It’s been a dream come true for me," said Val Gahagan.

The children in the show came from schools all over Muskingum County including Rosecrans, Maysville, Tri-Valley and West Muskingum. The young actors had to audition for the parts back in March and the play showcases the talent in this area.

"I mean these kids come from families who are in the arts, who are in musicals, sing in their church choirs, who play guitars, who play the drums and the families have been fantastic, " said Co-Director, Angel Palmer.

If you missed the performances today, you can still see it next weekend on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m.and on Sunday at 2: 30 p.m. For ticket and price information you can visit the Zanesville Community Theatre online.
