Man Sentenced In Home Invasion

A Columbus man is sentenced in connection with a home invasion in Muskingum County. 46-year-old Cory Erskine Sr. of Columbus went before Common Pleas Judge Mark Fleegle and received 3 years in prison on one felony count of aggravated burglary. Three other charges including kidnapping and aggravated robbery with gun specifications were dropped at sentencing. Muskingum County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Erskine Sr, along with Cory Erskine Jr. and Chaise King in October of 2011 after they broke into a home on Old River Road, tied up a woman inside and committed a theft. Erskine Jr. and King have already been sentenced in the case.
