The Muskingum County Hunger Network will be having a pancake breakfast this Saturday to help raise funds to purchase food to feed the needy in Muskingum County.

"The Muskingum county Hunger Network, which is the 15 food pantries in Muskingum County and the four hot meal programs are doing an Applebee’s pancake breakfast. The tickets are $5. The cool thing about this is that the full $5 comes to The Muskingum County hunger Network," said Keely Warden, Executive Director of Christ’s Table.

Warden says although winter time is usually the busiest time for the pantries, the demand for meals in the summer can get just as high.

"We have 500 tickets. We are hoping to raise at least $2,000 which will be divided between the 15 food pantries and the four hot meal programs. So it may not seem like a lot of money when you start dividing that but to the food pantries, it is a lot of money."

You can purchase tickets at Applebee’s and at Christ’s Table.
