A local club came out to the Muskingum County Fairgrounds on Saturday with charity work as their mission.
The Seneca Sam’s Camping Club is a local chapter of the Good Sam Organization. The group goes camping twice a month and has members in Muskingum County and surrounding areas. The group held their annual yard sale on Saturday and will donate the proceeds towards charities of their choice.
"We give to Make a Wish and Dogs for the Deaf and the Flying Horse Farm ," Said President of Seneca Sams, Teresa Browsie.
The Seneca Sam’s Camping Club also awards scholarship money every year to students at their national event called a Samboree. Browsie says she feels compelled to support the youth.
" Things are bad now a days and people need more and this is one way that we can give back to our community and help the children," said Browsie.
The group takes the items that are not sold at the yard sale to Operation Spirit, a drop-off station for clothes and items that goes to members of the military. The group says they are always in need of more members. If you are interested in being a Seneca Sam, you can give the organization a call at 740-455-4669.
