The House of Grace church is trying to make a difference in the community by giving away 500 backpacks to kids of all grades. Pastor Joe Dunlap says parents don’t have to qualify or show their pay stubs, all you have to do is just show up and register.

"We’re doing K-12. Were just not doing the lower grades, we’re doing all the way through. So what they need to go back to school with, the supplies, whatever each one is different. The type of tablet that’s there or if they need different writing tablets, different pens, different pencils, different things. So that’s what they’ll find in there, what matches their grade."

House of Grace will have sign ups for the backpacks Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the church which is located at  2960 Maysville Pike. Then on Thursday, there will be three different time slots for the families who registered to pick up their backpacks. For more information, you can contact Pastor Joe Dunlap at 740-455-4647.
