A father daughter duo will put on the fireworks show for the city of Zanesville on Thursday.

Stephen and Amelia Vincent are licensed pyrotechnicians who are planning two different shows for the holiday.

"I am doing the downtown show for the Zanesville Jaycee’s right across the river from the park," said Pyrotechnician, Stephen Vincent. My show is at the Zanesville Country Club tonight," added Pyrotechnician, Amelia Vincent-Lepi. "

Between the two shows more 3/4 of a ton of explosives provided by the Hamburg Company will be set off. Each show takes at least 20 hours of preparation and with the large amount of fireworks the Vincent says coordination and teamwork are crucial for success.

"I yell a lot but it mainly is to keep everybody together, keep our rhythm going right. Make sure everybody is doing things safely and some people can’t handle that pressure, " said Vincent.

There will be a pyrotechnic team at both shows to help them set up. The fireworks at Zane Landing will start at 9:45 a.m. and the Zanesville Country Club show will begin at 9:30 a.m. Vincent says the shows will continue even if it rains and they urge viewers to simply bring umbrellas if showers happen to pop up.
