After a local woman suffered injuries from a bad accident her friends rallied together in support.

Saturday there was a poker run in honor of Misty Wisecarver at Bucket’s Place in Zanesville. At the fundraiser, Benefit organizers planned different ways to raise money for their friend.

"The proceeds that we take in for the run will go to Misty and the other half to whoever wins the poker run unless they choose to donate it back to her. We’re going to have a half and half drawing and we’re going to have a chinese auction. We also have a lot of food, " said Bucket’s Place, Owner Teresa Arnold.

Misty had the accident back in November and this will be her third surgery resulting from injuries sustained when she fell while attending to her horses.

" She’s not ever going to be able to use her ankle right, it’s never going to bend so she’s going to have a little bit of a hard time for quite some time now, " said Arnold.

Arnold says their goal is to pay off her insurance for several months because Wisecarver will be out of work, friends of Wisecarver say she is a very independent woman and though this attention overwhelms her they did it because she’s important to them.
