Saturday survivors released balloons and laced up their tennis shoes for a walk promoting brain injury awareness.
The second annual Rock the Walk for the Micah Jones Foundation took place at Zanesville High School’s football stadium. Founder of BrainSong, Micah Jones became a victim of brain injury in 2004.
"I was hit by a drunk driver in Nashville, I was going to school at Middle Tennessee State so I was about a month from graduating with a degree in music business so life was dramatically changed," said Jones.
Jones says that her memory has greatly been affected following the accident. After the injury Jones decided she wanted to help other victims suffering with similar brain injuries.
"I think just basically reaching to all the different survivors everywhere, as many as possible and then spreading brain injury awareness is the biggest part," said Jones.
