The local talent competition is coming to Secrest Auditorium in August as part of its national search for the next country music star and aspiring country music stars from all over our area will be competing in hopes of launching their country music career. Secrest fits over 1,700 people and they’re expecting a sold out show.

"You can come to ticket crush on Maple Avenue. You can also go to secrest auditorium box office or call Secrest Auditorium at 454-6851 or you can purchase them online at www.etix.com," said Kyle McQeck, Manager of ticketcrush.com

Tickets are $11 and part of the proceeds from ticket sales will actually be going towards helping wounded US service members.

"Part of the proceeds from the tickets are going to help the Wounded Warrior Project," said Jay Benson, Sales Manager for WHIZ Media Group. "The tickets are on sale, as was already mentioned. So we’re really excited about it and we’re looking forward to a great show on august the 3rd."

The Texaco Country Showdown starts at 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 3 at Secrest Auditorium in downtown Zanesville.
