A construction project is set to get underway in downtown Zanesville, Monday.
Officials with the Ohio Department of Transportation said the project on 5th Street will take place between Elberon Avenue and Canal Street.
The work includes new drainage, traffic signals, sidewalks, curb ramps, lighting and resurfacing of 5th Street.
Motorists can expect temporary lane closures throughout the project, but it’s not expected to significantly impact traffic.
The project is being done by Shelly and Sands Incorporated and is estimated to cost $1.5 million and will be completed November 29th.
