The Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency say the man trapped by a partial collapse of a ditch near a house was freed at around 3:50 p.m. Monday. He will be taken by medical helicopter to Ohio State University Hospital. for treatment. His condition is not known. His name has not been released.
The Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency is releasing a few more details from Monday’s partial ditch collapse. Deputy Director Jeff Jadwin says an 18-year-old male is trapped about waist deep just outside the foundation of a home at 8424 McGlade School Road. Jadwin says he is conscious and emergency crews are working to get him pulled from the collapsed ditch. A medical helicopter has landed at the scene and will transport the victim to the hospital as soon as he is free. Falls Township Fire Department, Zemba Brothers and crews from the City of Zanesville remain on the scene to rescue the victim.
