The Community Bank was recently named the ‘Community Lender of the Year’ during the Great Lakes Lenders conference by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

"We were up against larger banks as well as community banks," said V.P. of Business Banking, Jim Wilson. "And because of our loan production, coverage of our banking footprint and based on historical numbers, we were awarded this honor."

Wilson says because of the bank’s, banking footprint, they are now able to offer services to customers outside of Muskingum County.

"The Small Business Administration does let the community bank stretch outside of it’s footprint. That means, that we typically lend in Muskingum County, but because of this, we’re able to lend outside of Muskingum county and across the state."

Community Bank competed with other banks in Ohio, Illinois and Indiana for the award.
