A man who robbed a bank in Kirkersville Tuesday said he just wanted to go back to jail, a day after he was released.

The Licking County Sheriff’s Office said 58-year-old Robert Fraizer robbed the Park National Bank on East Main Street around 2:15 Tuesday afternoon. Deputies said fraizer walked into the bank, handed over a note to the teller, took money in an envelope, and left on foot. Investigators said a bank employee stopped Fraizer and asked him if he had something that belonged to the bank. The employee said Fraizer admitted to the crime and told the employee that he just wanted to go back to jail because he is homeless. Fraizer had been released from the Allan Correctional Institute in Lima on Monday. He is now being held at the Licking County Justice Center, pending his arraignment hearing. This case will be forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office for review. The investigation is ongoing.
