A fire engulfed a home late Saturday night completely destroying the structure.

New Concord Fire Department was first on the scene and say that they received a call from a witness who noticed smoke coming from the home on the 10000 Block of Coshocton Road. They arrived at approximately 9:30 p.m. and firefighters say no one was injured and that  the family was on vacation in Virginia Beach at the time of the blaze.

"Got home at 1:30 a.m. this morning there was fire trucks here, they came back at 4:30 a.m. this morning and back again at 10:30a.m. to put it out for the third time. They told us it could still collapse do not go near it," said homeowner, Ginger Young.

Young says that she has lived in that house with her husband and children for the last 19 years and she never expected for anything like this to happen to her family, especially right now. She says its been a difficult time for her son.

"His birthday was last week he saved up a lot of money to buy an aerosoft gun and that’s gone and had all his school clothes. School starts in 3 days, that’s gone," said Young.

The family says that they were able to save a few pictures and that they are grateful to their community and all of the fire departments that assisted on the scene including Adamsville, New Concord, Franklin-Conesville, and Three Rivers out of Coshocton. If you would like to reach the Young family for donations you can by phone. The cause of the fire is unknown but the family suspects an air conditioner could be to blame
