There’s now a way to visit Zanesville with your smart phone.

The Zanesville Visitor’s Bureau has launched a mobile version of their website, The mobile site makes it easier for those visiting the area to connect with information on hotels, attractions and upcoming event through their phone.

"It’s the ease of information right at your finger tips," said Vice President of the Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce Kelly Ashby. "It allows you to instantly have that information, so having that will help you want to get off the interstate, travel into the area, find out what there is to see or do and then spend the night."

Ashby said there’s been a push in communities to create mobile sites to draw in tourists.

"We certainly always need to keep up with what other communities are doing and what other attractions are doing," explained Ashby. "Again to keep travelers coming into the area, make it very easy for them to get a hold of information and to book hotel accommodations and to find out what there is to do in the area."

New to the mobile site is a calendar of events which is easier to read. Ashby said you can click on a particular date and the calendar pops up with a list of things to discover.
